- Provide all material, tables, lighting, jewelry boxes, and staff for set-up of sale.
- Stage house accordingly for optimum visibility of the all sale items.
- Clean & prep items.
- Research items of value & tag & price all items.
- Determine if some items would be better sold at auction or ebay or to specialized dealers.
- Advertise the sale on web sites, newspapers, media, & email lists.
- Post attractive signs along main highways, at house, in neighborhood & beyond directing people to the sale.
- Accept cash, check, credit card, paypal, on day of sale. Make sure all checks clear.
- Collect NYS Sales Tax.
- Prepare Final Report, together with providing copies of all sales slips.
- Final clean-out of house and arrange for donations of unsold items.
